Dave Matthews great tasting wine is back with its annual "Painted" series - featuring a hand-drawn design by Dave Matthews himself. The "Painted 2016" features a red and a white - the red is a 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Petit Verdot, 19% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot blend, whereas the white is 59% Sauvignon Blanc, 31% Viognier, 10% Chardonnay. These wines are very popular and extremely drinkable - very smooth with a balance of sweetness and age to give you a great wine experience.
The pre-order runs until December 1, and as always they feature a great selection of swag - including a pre-order that features a Chicka Pig board! The t-shirts and sweatshirts are also very high quality, so if you need a comfy shirt that's a solid choice. Act quickly!
As the good folks at Blenheim often do, they're including some nice merchandise to accompany your purchase; a hand-drawn handbill by Dave Matthews. 20 lucky pre-orders will receive an autographed handbill from Dave himself!
The wine breakdown this year is as follows:
2015 PAINTED WHITE: 58% Chardonnay, 21% Viognier, 12% Albarino, 9% Sauvignon Blanc.
2015 PAINTED RED: 44% Cabernet Franc, 31% Petit Verdot, 13% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The options for ordering are aplenty. If you're not a wine-drinker there are merchandise only options, and let me tell you their shirts are the most comfortable ever! There are also multiple labels, so you can choose an order package to get em all! Please note that due to the silly laws that govern alcohol shipping that it may not be available in your state; refer to the order page to see if you live in one of the sane ones that allows it.
Act quickly and grab this fantastic wine!
As you can see by the design, there's a ryno on the bottle. This year, Blenheim will match dollar-for-dollar ever purchase made during the pre-order and donate that to The African Wildlife Federation's rhinoceros conservation. So unless you're C. Montgomery Burns with your snazzy slippers there's no real reason to not get your pre-order on!
The Pre-order ends November 14, so order now! No seriously, now. Each order comes with a limited edition handbill, and there will be 20 randomly selected pre-orders that will receive the handbill autographed by Dave. Order Now if you didn't order 27 words ago!

The Painted Series EP is nice, but really the wine is worth every penny. If you've missed our heaping praise in the past, here's the tl;dnr version: Wine is fantastic. Buy it. Follow either link to order some wine shipped to your door (if you don't live in one of those freak states that doesn't allow wine shipped out of state), or stop by the winery and pick up some! If you're going to the Bristow, VA show Saturday, it's only a bit over an hour away right down 29. Tell em Ants sent ya!
Additionally, each order receives a handbill of the bottle designs. And this year, there's something extra too! One lucky winner will be randomly selected to receive the signed original drawing of the Painted White label by Dave Matthews. Check out the official Blenheim site for all the rules.
If you've never tried the Painted series, they're blends, and quite good ones at that. And the pre-sale will go quickly, so if you're a wino or a collector, or just have to order them because you already have the other bottles, you better get your order on stat. To make life easier, the following states can accept shipping from Blenheim: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, ND, NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, SC, TX, TN, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY, and DC. Dave's good winery, Blenheim is offering up a Dave and Tim sampler with purchases this summer. And you've got a chance to get one signed by Dave himself. With a $50 purchase of their delicious wines, you will get a copy of The Boots; a sampler from the Dave and Tim 2011 show in Charlottesville. The featured songs are Bartender, Sweet, and Lying In The Hands of God. The Hands of God is especially good, but really, all 3 tracks are great. And the wine is fabulous as well, and worth it without even getting the CD. Head on over to the Blenheim Store , grab yourself some wine (I recommend the 2012 Chardonnay) and pop the top (really unscrew it..) and listen to some Dave and Tim!
Dave has once again designed the labels - you may recall the 2009, 2010 and 2011 designs - this time Dave got his Pig on in 2012. Here's the skinny on the wines:

- The 2011 Painted White is a blend of 66% viognier, 18% roussanne, and 16% marsanne
This is a Pre-sale - the regular sale begins December 8. Any orders from November 21 to December 2 will receive, in addition to the fabulous wines - a limited edition, screen printed, numbered handbill. 10 random handbills will be signed by Dave Matthews.
You can visit the Blenheim Order Page and pick up the duo - White and Red for a cool $55. Orders by the case are also available. These go pretty quickly, so don't hesitate and order today! And tell em antsmarching.org sent ya!

The pre-order period runs until December 5, so now is not the time to procrastinate. If your state allows wine to be shipped to it (you can find the states listed on the left on this page) Order the wines here, and tell em antsmarching.org sent ya ;)

Because of shipping laws, Blenheim can only ship to certain states (California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Virginia, Washington and Washington D.C.). So if you don't live in one of those, you can't get your wine-on. However, if you'd like to purchase an 18x24 poster of the wine label drawn by Dave, you can do that via their store regardless of where you live.
Blenheim Vineyards, the wine maker co-owned by Dave Matthews, is now available in California Whole Foods stores. The Virginia made wine - known for their outstanding chardonnay (like the 2006 Blenheim Farms... mmm...) - has made its way to the grocery store known for it's organic products. As of now, it's only available in California Whole Foods, but it's a start. So for our left coast folks, you can swing by a Whole Foods and try the Matthews label.
For the rest of you, Blenheim does ship to certain areas, so if you're interested in their wines, navigate to their order page from the Blenheim official site and see if they'll ship to you. Then maybe your kitchen counter can look like this
